Burning of the Vines 2017

Burning of the Vines 2017

As part of the ancient European vintage, the Burning of the Vines ritual was used as a celebration of the end of the grape harvest and the beginning of a new season; a symbol of rebirth and rejuvenation. During the months of May & June, conference delegates will have the opportunity to take part in this ancient tradition, as part of their Hunter Valley conference experience.

Each delegate will receive a vine cutting, along with a blank card on arrival, with space to write an affirmation of the troubles they wish to leave behind, or aspirations they have for the coming year. Before or after dinner,  guests then throw their cuttings and cards into a bonfire to farewell the old and rejoice the new.

This new complimentary experience will be available for all conference delegates, holding their conference throughout the months of May and June. For more information, contact Eliza Kibell on (02) 4993 1309 or h8797-sb2@accor.com
